Week in Review
Weekend posts aren’t as common for me lately because of nicer weather and doing things outside with the family. I wanted to make an effort to make a post today, though, to cover some things that happened over the course of this last week that I didn’t get a chance to mention during it.
First, I want to thank Jon Bryan at Outdoor Odyssey for the inclusion of my post “Do Deer Lures Lure More Than Deer?” in the first edition of his Outdoor Odyssey Blog Carnival.
Second, I would like to thank Rex at the Deer Camp Blog for thinking my spur of the moment comment was worthy of being used as the main quote for his site. It gave me a good laugh as my head swelled and floated up into the clouds.
Third, I’d like to extend my thanks to Steve at Black Bear Blog for running his poll about ‘military style’ weapons and the image of hunters. The results provided me with fodder for my own discussion.
Last, but not least, I’d like to thank Kristine Shreves at Gun Safety Innovations for her excellent comments on my post “Assault Weapons & Negative Perceptions of Hunters” and the mention of it and the link to Hunting Sense in her own post about the image of hunters. I’m glad to see others are as concerned about this topic as I am.
Thanks for a great week, everyone!

Cliff,
Thanks for the compliment and the link. It is greatly appreciated. I think it is great that we are talking about how to manage the image of hunting and what hunters can do to make that image better. I’m glad you started the ball rolling.
