The Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting

As I previously mentioned, I’ve been reading ‘The Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting‘ by Frank Miniter, and I’ve recently finished it. I have to say I am awfully impressed with the amount of facts presented in it. Facts that, like the book says, the media fail to report when they talk about hunting. And they are actual facts, easily verified with little research; not just the opinions of someone who enjoys hunting.
In each chapter of the book, Frank not only presents the facts, but he gives ample examples of cases that have happened to substantiate them. All in a clear, concise, no-nonsense way with a often humorous but always light way. The amount of information to digest is astronomical, but handled in such a way that it is easily digested and not hard to retain.
I have had to counter anti-hunting arguments many times over the years, and if I would have had the information available in this book during them, I think that I may have been more successful in positively presenting my case. And that is where the true benefit of this book really is to be found. It’s the best way to arm yourself for such encounters.
And if you know anyone that is teetering on the fence, not sure which way they want to go on the entire hunting issue, this book could very well be what tips the scales in favour of hunting and instilling a new respect for hunters in them during the process.
Plain and simple; if you haven’t read it yet, do. And once you do, pass it along to your friends.
