Misinformed People

I know that all vegetarians aren’t automatically against hunting or for PETA type animal rights, but a large majority are. How often do you go to a site dedicated to their lifestyle and find a link to ‘animal rights’ or ‘PETA’? A lot, as is the case with Living Without Meat.
If it’s a person’s choice to not eat meat, then more power to them. I don’t have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with are people who make their choice and then try to force that choice on everyone else. And even worse are those who do it and then add in the ‘animal rights’, ‘anti-hunting’, ‘PETA’ slant without actually educating themselves about things before doing so.
For a balanced diet, you need a certain amount of all the food groups. You can either choose meat substitutes or take vitamins to counter-act not eating meat, but it isn’t the same. Your body does not absorb vitamins and minerals the same way from pills as it does from actual meat. Still, that is their choice, so more power to them. I’ll just get what my body needs the right way.
Then there is the whole ‘animal rights’ ‘PETA’ issue. Most times, what they consider to be informed information is nothing more than turning a blind eye to the real facts. Facts like hunting is a necessary activity now more than ever in helping control a healthy and balanced wildlife population among many others I won’t even bother listing here.
Maybe some day, people will open their eyes to reality instead of living in their own little fantasy world.

If getting meat the “wrong ways” which is the way I do it is so bad, why do I look and feel better than I ever have? Why did I get chronic stomach aches for years that disappeared as soon as I gave meat up? It seems you are just as closed minded as the people you are attacking. People in fantasy worlds are the ones that don’t educate themselves about how animals are treated up to their slaughter to be put on their tables.

What you want is for people to open their eyes to YOUR reality…the way YOU see things. You contradict yourself by attacking others for forcing their opinions on others when you are doing the same thing. You say what is the right way to get nutrition, when it’s really just your way to get nutrition. You say what is reality, when it’s just your perception of reality.
I choose not to eat rotting dead flesh. My body has never felt better and it’s been 9 years. The effects on my skin, my energy, and just peace of mind have been extreme. I grew up on a cattle farm so I know both worlds. Have you ever lived as a Vegetarian so that you can speak from experience on both too?
I’m not a supporter of PETA, I think their tactics are not good. But saying that you find links for their organization on animal lovers sites is equivalent to hunters often having NRA links on theirs. It happens.
I don’t support sport hunting, killing for the “thrill” of it. If a person hunts for the survival of their family, that’s one thing.
Maybe the question you should ask yourself is why you fear opposing lifestyles and opinions so much that you have to attack others for having them?
