Makeup Monday at Hunting Sense
I’m sure at least a few people noticed the lack of posting over the last few days. Don’t worry, I haven’t thrown in the towel just yet. Aside from an annoying internet and comp problem, I’m still here ready to write. It seems like all is resolved now, so I’m once again a happy camper.
I guess a logical place to start the new week would be to catch up on some things that have been going on here.
I’m relieved to say my wife is doing better. Although we still haven’t gotten an official diagnosis, we believe what was the matter with her is she is hyperglycemic. Everything points to it and knowing that, we have been able to get it under control. I really felt bad for her, though, because just as she got feeling better she ended up with an abscessed tooth. Now she’s feeling better and getting back to herself again.
Our youngest just had his fifth birthday. I’m constantly amazed watching him grow up, everyday able to more and more by himself. He constantly has me in stitches with some of the hilarious things he comes up with to say. Also, this year, his Nana bought him his very own tent for his birthday. I know his grandma back in Oklahoma will be wanting to take the tent and him and help in teaching him about the outdoors.
Two weekends ago, we ventured up north a ways to Muskoka. Yep, ventured into Bill’s neck of the woods. It is sure beautiful up there. It’s amazing how much the scenery changes in such a short distance (it’s only around a thirty minute drive). Maybe next time we’re up that way, I’ll have to arrange a meeting with Bill to talk outdoors and blogging, as well as thank him for awarding me with the Schmooze Award, which I’ll be blogging about tomorrow.
Well, I guess that’s about it for now. Thanks to all my readers out there, and sorry for the recent rash of infrequent posts. Hopefully everything has ran it’s course and things will stay normal for awhile.

Anytime you come up…let me know. We’ll chat and maybe go for a fish or grouse hunt (in the fall).

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes for my wife. I love blogging about the outdoors and hunting, because, like this proves, I think outdoors people are some of the best people in the world. Thanks for sticking around during my absence. We appreciate it.
