Hunting Sense ‘Teaching Them to Survive’ Comment

by Cliff

I received a comment yesterday on the Teaching Them to Survive post from a week or two back and just had to share it.

I am a teacher and a blogger. I enjoyed reading your blog entry and have gotten inspired. I want to quote you on my blog so I can talk about this problem as well. I also want to take your advice and start giving the kids at what then… journal entry at least once a week to write on. I never thought of using journal in a problem solving sense before but I think it could just work.

Thanks,

Chase

First of all, wow, I inspired someone. Secondly, it was inspiration to implement something that would be of benefit to our children! I have to admit, I am ecstatic about this. This is something my wife and I both feel very strongly about and to know that someone feels just as strongly as we do and is also able to put it into actual use within a classroom is great. This is the kind of thing that makes doing Hunting Sense worthwhile. And it couldn’t have came at a better time because I have been struggling a bit as of late with posting.

Chase, if you’re reading this, thank you very much! I will be sending out an email to you shortly giving you permission to quote me and my thanks for your willingness to try out this idea. When you do implement it, I would be very grateful if you could keep us updated on how well it works. If it is successful then maybe their is the chance that it could be implemented on a larger scale.
