Hunting Sense got Schmoozed

As I mentioned in yesterdays post, Bill over at Muskoka Outdoors awarded me with a Schmooze Award. It’s an award given by bloggers to bloggers who develop relationships with their fellow readers and other bloggers. When awarded, bloggers need to find five others to award it to to keep the award going. I have to say I’m honored, but a bit embarrassed as well.
Maintaining a relationship with my readers and fellow bloggers is something I have been sorely neglecting as of late. The combination of unexpected happenings and the need to be away from the computer to get done what needs to be outside during the short Canadian summer has prevented it. So that’s the reason this award is a bit embarrassing right now. I will try my best to do better at this, though.
Another problem I find myself in with this award is that most of the bloggers I know have already been awarded it. I hate the idea of sending it to people who have already received it, forcing them, in theory, to have to repeat finding five more blogs to award it to. If I don’t though, it feels like I am not respecting the idea this award was created for in the first place. What a dilemma, although a very good one when all is said and done.
What I will do is list five blogs I feel deserve the award, no matter if they have been awarded one already or not. Those that already have are under no obligation to send out five more awards. So here goes.
Simply Outdoors — A new blog that I’ve submitted a request to the powers that be to have added to the Hunting Sense blogroll. Done by two everyday guys from lower Michigan who happen to be brothers, it’s a great addition to my have to visit sites.
Tails and Trails — A blog from the Skinny Moose media network written by Rick. A very informative blog with some great interviews.
Hunting Life — Who could forget Kevin Paulson from the Hunting Life blog. After a year of blogging while his site was in development, he has now launched what very well could be the have to be site for all hunters. Kudos to him and his passion for the outdoors.
Black Bear Blog — Another Skinny Moose Media site and one of the first blogs on hunting, which paved the way for the rest of us to be taken seriously. Tom does an excellent job and his posts represents what many of us strive for every time we sit down and write something to put up.
Deer Camp Blog — Anytime I need a good laugh, I know it is no further away than Rex and his humorous style of blogging. I thoroughly enjoy the stories about the Christmas Tree Plantation and the exciting, mysterious, frightening, and funny exploits he has had there. A must read.

I think you made some good picks there Cliff. All those guys are good bloggers who support hunting and fishing and outdoor blogging.

Congrats Cliff! Your picks are all great blogs, too. I read every one of ‘em.
