Hunter Education
With summer temperatures soaring and trips to area lakes and beaches at their peak, thinking about hunting season may not be at the forefront of most peoples minds. It’ll be upon us before you know it, though. And if you need to take a Hunter Education Course before heading afield, then you need to start planning now to be ready for opening day.
Not only does a Hunter Education Course make sense to take, many times it’s required to be able to purchase a hunting license. And if you wait until the very last minute to sign up for one, you could find yourself sitting out until the next one because they fill up fast at that time of year. But not to worry, there’s a solution that makes the chances more likely you’ll be able to hit the woods with everyone else.
Hunter Education Courses are usually offered year round, even though more are offered during late summer and early fall. Not only can you avoid the rush right before season, but you can enjoy other benefits as well. Most notable is the possibility that you’ll be able to enjoy a much smaller class than one conducted later in the year.
So, even though you may miss a day on the beach, you should take a look at your state wildlife department website to find a schedule of Hunters Education Courses. It’s definitely worth the time now for the time and pain you save by waiting.
Don’t wait, do it now!

I’m planning on taking my hunter safety course at the end of August, schedule permitting. It will take up a whole weekend, but I guess it has to be done.
Should be interesting.
