Hello there, fellow hunters!

Welcome to Hunting Sense.

One of the few things I enjoy more than hunting itself is talking about hunting. And before you ask, the things other than hunting are my family and writing. So, here I am, ready to talk about all things hunting while getting to write and giving my wife a much needed break from the subject. It seems to be a win-win situation.

I was given my first gun when I was just one day old (how redneck is that), so you could say hunting has been in my blood since birth. Now, with thirty-four years of hunting under my belt, I have plenty of things to talk about. There’s a lot I’ve learned that I’ll try to pass along to you, plenty of things I’d like to learn more about (this is where you come in), and a load of things we can discuss.

I think we have a lot of fun ahead of us, and I, for one, am looking forward to it. I always look forward to getting to know everyone who reads, so feel free to contact me anytime you want. Hunting Sense is as much your home as it is mine so let me know how I’m doing, what your thoughts are, and if there’s anything you’d like to see discussed.

    I enjoy you’r site,Great Job,
    I too am a hunter,as was my Dad,whom I spent many hours hunting with.He taught me so much.
    I love to deer hunt,but I dont have to kill anything to have a good hunt.Sitting in a tree stand,up close and personal,with the beautiful whitetail,is a sight to behold.
    Like you stated,if you dont feel right,the shot is a risk,let him walk.
    I for one,belive a well placed shot,a clean kill,
    is something to be proud of.
    Tried to show my sons what my Dad taught me.
    Good Hunting to everyone.
    Will return often to you’r site.
