good post - I agree with everyone else whose commented on it - we hunter's do nothing but hurt ourselves as a group when we let our disagreement on methods get out of hand - if it's legal it's fine!

Zumbo got what he deserved. Assault Rifles are for protection and YES you can varmint hunt with them.

The NRA is patriotic and understands that our right to bear arms is for protection against tyranny and not for hunting.

The fact that a hunter like Zumbo would spit on the patriotic NRA members by saying that a particular firearm is a terrorist weapon is proof that he is a tool of the left and is a useful idiot to those who would strip us of our right to protection.

The whole hunting argument is a ruse, we all know its about personal defense. I don't need to hunt animals to need a firearm.

Now if only our politicians would learn that trashing the patriots of this country is a bad idea (then we would really have change).

Oh well, all this does is reinforce my belief and respect for the NRA and makes me feel good that sometimes our voice is heard.

As for Zumbo, wake up and stop betraying us.

Thanks to all the manufacturers for dropping Zumbo and instilling our faith in your beliefs.

What you want is for people to open their eyes to YOUR reality...the way YOU see things. You contradict yourself by attacking others for forcing their opinions on others when you are doing the same thing. You say what is the right way to get nutrition, when it's really just your way to get nutrition. You say what is reality, when it's just your perception of reality.
I choose not to eat rotting dead flesh. My body has never felt better and it's been 9 years. The effects on my skin, my energy, and just peace of mind have been extreme. I grew up on a cattle farm so I know both worlds. Have you ever lived as a Vegetarian so that you can speak from experience on both too?
I'm not a supporter of PETA, I think their tactics are not good. But saying that you find links for their organization on animal lovers sites is equivalent to hunters often having NRA links on theirs. It happens.
I don't support sport hunting, killing for the "thrill" of it. If a person hunts for the survival of their family, that's one thing.
Maybe the question you should ask yourself is why you fear opposing lifestyles and opinions so much that you have to attack others for having them?

If getting meat the "wrong ways" which is the way I do it is so bad, why do I look and feel better than I ever have? Why did I get chronic stomach aches for years that disappeared as soon as I gave meat up? It seems you are just as closed minded as the people you are attacking. People in fantasy worlds are the ones that don't educate themselves about how animals are treated up to their slaughter to be put on their tables.

Excellent post Cliff. You’re right sometimes hunters are their worst own enemy. This is a subject I have written a lot about and it still puzzles me as to why some hunters see themselves as moral judges over others. Most of this silliness has nothing to do with ethics or moral but more with personal narrow-minded opinions

Very good post. I could make arguments for or against any number of hunting weapons but I choose to just enjoy my own choices and let everyone else enjoy theirs. Like Kris said, if it's legal it's OK in my book!

You are right on with this post! It is sad that so many hunters can not see that their constant attacks on one another will lead to their downfall. The same thing happens (perhaps to a lesser extent) in fishing...but that is another post.

There may be some room for disagreement on things like crossbows in states like mine (WV) where they are not yet legal. We can debate the pros and cons, and then the decision can be made. Even if I don't want to use a crossbow, if it is legal, then I have no problem at all with it. There are many issues just like this one that should never cause division between hunters...we need to be on the same side of the fence!
