Cliff’s Notes on Hunting

by

I was just looking at some of the search strings people use that brought them to Hunting Sense and had to laugh at one of them.

‘cliffs notes for where the red fern grows’

I know I’ve made a post about the book, and my name is Cliff, but it really struck me as funny that it would turn up on a search for the always useful Cliff’s Notes books. Siomehow, I don’t think that the person doing the search found quite what they were looking for.

After my chuckle over it, a light bulb went off over my head. Albiet, it was dim, but it was there. What would happen if I made a series of posts called Cliff’s Notes that dealt with hunting?

You have to admit, it is an interesting idea. Whether I’ll actually do it or not is another matter entirely, though. Maybe it would be better to do a serious based off another popular series of books: Hunting for Dummies. I believe they already have that one though, in the actual series. Or how about: The Complete Idiots Guide to Hunting? Not sure if that is a real one or not either.

As much of a redneck as I am, I could just do one about Redneck Hunting, but again, it’s been done as well. I think Jeff Foxworhty can do it a lot better than I ever could anyway.

So, after considering all this, the dim light bulb that went off over my head burned out completely. I’m sure you will all be relieved when I say all you’ll be seeing for now is just me talking on what strikes my fancy on any certain day. Although, I really do need to pick back up doing the ‘So you want to coonhunt’ series; it’s been awhile since I did one of those.
