A little of this…
…and a little of that.
With this being a long weekend and the Queen’s birthday here in Canada, I’m taking an easy out today for my post, although it is an excellent article detailing a very worthwhile project. I’ll be posting it up here in a few minutes, but I thought I would also take an opportunity to post about a few things of a personal, non-hunting nature. Thank you for your indulgence and rest assured, I’ll be back tomorrow with the normal Hunting Sense post.
I’ve enjoyed web-design for some time and have been working on a few projects lately.
Bobby Joe (remember the redneck hunting for bigfoot?) has always been near and dear to me and I thought he would enjoy his own site, so I have been working on one for him that is called Redneck Views. It’s a wordpress site where he’s able to give ‘Opinions from Hickville on Everything’. That isn’t surprising considering Rednecks never hesitate giving an opinion, but what may be surprising is how senseible they can be at times. He’s insured me that Redneck Views will be ‘Sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, but always redneck’. Once I get him back here to finish up his bigfoot story, I’ll turn Redneck Views over to him and let him have his say on whatever he wants.
I’ve also been working on a site for my wife. It’s the first time I’ve used Flash, but when done, it will rely on it heavily for a very creative layout. The screen below is the home page and was created using Photoshop. It is by far the best site design I have done so far and I owe it’s creation to my wife for being so picky about what she wants. When I get my own personal site up, it will definitely be one that I showcase on it. Navigation is done using the books on her personal online library. You can click on the picture to view it full sized.
I also have a few more sites in various stages of design and development, so I have my work cut out for me, especially with the arrival of warm weather, which means work.
I’ve re-carpeted two rooms and have a third one I’ll be starting soon. I also have a long list of needs-to-be-done projects both inside and outside. Either way, it looks like it’ll be a long summer with a little play and a lot of work. Funny how that happens once you’re married with a house and kids. Even funnier is how I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Ok, enough rambling on! Thanks for your indulgence and enjoy your holiday if you live where you celebrate the Queen’s birthday!
